Subscriptions

CILogon was developed under support by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy. CILogon is sustained by a non-profit subscription model administered by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois. Becoming a subscriber helps to support CILogon's long-term sustainability and provides additional collaboration management capabilities. CILogon subscribers receive contracted support for CILogon services under a detailed service level agreement. CILogon participates in the InCommon Catalyst Program to help with adoption of federated IAM in the research and education community.

2024 Service Tiers

Each year, the NCSA finance office sets the pricing for CILogon service tiers after a review of costs and associated account surplus/deficit to sustain our non-profit operations. The 2024 CILogon service tiers are:

Basic Authentication (No charge for academic research projects)

Essential Service ($15,450 per year)

Full Service ($36,050 per year)

Federation Level (Contact us for a quote)

Internal rates are available to University of Illinois subscribers.

CILogon subscription agreements are managed by the University of Illinois. We kindly ask that your purchasing office refrain from requesting modifications to these agreements unless specifically required by law or regulation, because negotiation of custom agreement language creates a significant overhead for CILogon staff and the University of Illinois contracts office. Also, please be sure to work with your purchasing office to obtain an official signature on the agreement, because typically only a small number of individuals at an organization have contract signing authority. We can accept electronic signatures (e.g., DocuSign or AdobeSign) or "wet signatures" (i.e., print, sign, scan, and send PDF). Alternatively, we can route the document directly to your authorized signatory/signatories using AdobeSign, if you provide us with the name(s), title(s), and e-mail address(es) of the signatory/signatories to whom we should send the document for signature.

Please contact info@cilogon.org if you're ready to subscribe or if you have any questions.

Thanks to the support of funding agencies, partner projects, and subscribers, CILogon is able to maintain a commitment to open source software development and a focus on the needs of the academic research community.
